An overwhelming turn-out of residents from Barangays Magsaysay and Marilog Proper, Marilog District attended the Vaccination Roll-out within their respective Barangays, Friday, November 19, 2021.
This turn-out was the result of a positive dialogue with the Religious, Indigenous Peoples, Tribal Leaders, and Datus within the said Barangays. The said Leaders were hesitant to vaccinate along with their constituents, however, after a meeting with the said Leaders on November 8, 2021.
Representatives from the COVID19 Vaccination Cluster headed by Dr Josephine Villafuerte, MD, the Public Safety and Security Command Center, City Information Office, and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples worked cooperatively to extract the commitment of the said Leaders to vaccinate themselves and their people. These efforts are evident with the said overwhelming turn-out of people for the vaccination roll-out.
These dialogues will be continuously conducted to all far-flung Barangays of the City.
